You can use this tool to check eligibility against § 24-72-706 to file for record sealing using petition form JDF 612 - Motion to Seal Conviction Records.
This tool can screen one client case at a time. To check multiple cases, you can select ‘Start over’ after you see your eligibility results or after a petition is generated.
Right now, this tool only supports checking eligibility and generating petitions for records with a single conviction.
Records with multiple convictions (petition form JDF 641, Motion to Seal Multiple Convictions) can’t be processed with this tool.
Our tool checks your documents to see if restitution was ordered on a case but can’t check if it has been paid.

Please check that your client’s case meets these requirements before using this tool:
- Your client was 18 or over at the time of the offense.
- Their case was heard in District or County court.
- Their case involved a criminal offense that resulted in a conviction.
- Your client didn’t commit an offense as a result of being a victim of human trafficking.
- Their case is eligible for sealing under § 24-72-706 and doesn’t require district attorney consent or a hearing.
Before using this tool, you’ll need:
- The case completion date for your client’s case. Case completion date is the date of final disposition of all criminal proceedings or release from supervision.
- To check if any restitution ordered on their case was paid.
- A current copy of your client’s CBI record saved as a single file.
- A current copy of your client’s COCourts record (from cocourts.com) saved as a single file.
